FUR CARE / CLEANING TIPS
1. Fur Care:
- Keep in a dry, cool place not exposed to light.
- Don't cover the fur with plastic. Allow your fur proper space and wide hanger in your closet, as it likes to breathe.
- Do not store in a cedar closet as cedar wood absorbs moisture that can dry your fur out.
- Never put the fur near a heat source.
- Be careful not to crush the fur while wearing or in your closet. Avoid excessive touching particularly for chinchilla.
- Try to avoid rubbing the fur by handbags and purse straps.
- Try to keep the fur away from perfume, hairspray, makeup and insecticides.
2. Fur Cleaning:
- If dampened from moderate rain, shake the fur well and hang it to dry in a well-ventilated area away from heat. Go to a furrier if it gets soaked too much.
- If permissible, go to a furrier for annual cleaning and conditioning to remove dust, dirt, oils and other soiling substances, which accumulate in the course of year.
- Proper cleaning will make the fur soft and supple, remove unwanted odors and add to its longevity.
- Do not go to a regular dry cleaner as they may use chemicals that can dry out your fur and make its leather brittle.
